OUR SERVICES

We aim to complete all work (subject to holidays etc.) within 14 days of receipt of all of the information that is needed to complete the work. When preparing bills for assessment by a court, we get everything ready to start the assessment procedure by preparing the assessment bundles and the notice of commencement/the request for detailed assessment and the statement of parties (if required) for no extra charge. We also prepare a detailed advice highlighting all relevant issues.

​We have particular regard to the importance of justifying the costs in the detailed narrative of a bill because a large number of bills are provisionally assessed (so that, at the provisional assessment stage, there is no opportunity to justify any of the costs as there would be, at a hearing) and, if necessary, contacting counsel’s clerk and others to obtain information that is needed to ensure that no disbursements are missed (or that the time spent by counsel and experts etc. can be justified).
